Remove existing 40-gallon gas fired water heater. Install new High Efficiency 40-gallon gas fired water heater, do not use Richmond brand. This may require a short unit to be installed measure the floor to ceiling height to ensure proper clearances. Turn the new unit so that the front of the water heater is accessible. Replace the old brass inline shut off valve on gas line with new inline shut off. Install an approved TPRV line no less the 6” from the floor. Make sure the PVC flue has proper slope from the exterior. All penetrations need to be sealed with and exterior grade caulk. Any insulation removed in the joist pocket must be installed after pipping is completed. Electrical outlet will need to be installed for this unit. Water Heater must be lit and operational at the proper temps before leaving. Remove all the existing gas pipe in the house. Install new black iron pipe to waterheater, furnace, and the dryer in the basement. Add a line to the stove on first floor then cap it. All appliances shall have new inline shut-offs installed. Plumbing permit is required before work starts.
