A. SPILL BUCKET REPAIR AND INSTALL 1. Spill Bucket Repair to include all materials and labor. 2. Contractor is responsible for obtaining any required permits and testing. 3. Method a. Saw cut and break out concrete at the existing spill bucket and properly dispose of concrete. i. Soil sampling must be performed after concrete removal to identify any contamination. b. Cut down and re-thread existing tank fill riser for new spill bucket. c. Install new OPW EDGE Double-Wall Spill Container (bucket). d. Install new drop tube, fill adapter, and fill cap, and adjust for compliance. e. Grade area around new spill bucket and install rebar. f. Pour and finish concrete around new spill bucket. g. Vacuum test new spill bucket. h. Clean area and top of bucket, install and paint new cover and ring for compliance. B. WORKSITE a. Worksite needs to be barricaded using safety cones, safety tape, crossbars, and vehicles to provide a safe working area. b. Worksite must be prepared and cleared of all dirt and debris before, during (end of workday), and after repair. c. All materials must be properly disposed of in accordance with waste disposal and hazardous materials guidelines.
