The contractor shall furnish all the necessary materials, labor and equipment to apply a chemical solution for controlling vegetation under guide rail, around sign posts and any other designated area on Yates County Highways. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The contractor shall chemically treat all vegetation growing under/immediately behind guide rail and around sign posts as directed by the Yates County Highway Department. All guide rail sections and sign posts on each designated County Highway shall be sprayed. Vegetation control shall be performed by applying a swath of thirty-six (36) inch typical widths, at the rates specified, centered on the guide rail or as directed by the Highway Superintendent or his designee. Sign and delineator posts shall also be treated using a typical thirty-six (36) inch pattern.
