The Bridgeton Public Schools district is seeking a vendor to provide professional development for the implementation of the Rising Voices Library. The Rising Voices Library provides students with a culturally relevant authentic text. The District already has the material needed but will need training on implementing the material in the classroom. The Rising Voices training shall provide: • Training on how to build a culture that encourages independent reading • Training to ensure students are contemplating what they read • To facilitate culturally responsive teaching • Engage students of all backgrounds by providing unique and diverse characters • Training to challenge students to think deeply while still maintaining the state standards. • Training for a maximum of 25 participants • Participants to include K-5 Teachers of ELA and Social Studies • Training to be provided as training videos for participants to complete independently during common plannings or preps. • Training to include components of books, lessons, and digital resources.
