• Cleaning of existing Pavement and Gutters – Gutters that are to be resurfaced with asphalt material shall be thoroughly cleaned including joints, of all sand, slit, grass and other foreign matter. Application of appropriate herbicides may be required in some areas. Outside edges of existing payment and shoulders shall be cut back far enough to expose the existing edge and allow rollers to make full contact with new surface course. Cost of all cleaning and trimming shoulders shall be included in price of asphalt materials.
