The City is seeking a qualified contractor to provide as-needed services for fiber-optic network design, installation, construction, repairs, and maintenance of feeder lines, distribution lines, and premise drops within its service area. All services to be furnished under this contract shall be ordered by issuance of Work Orders by the City’s Information and Technology Manager. There is no limit on the number of Work Orders that may be issued. Such Work Orders may be issued for a period of three (3) years from contract award. For each issued Work Order, Vendor will submit to the City of West Hollywood: a. a “not to exceed” cost estimate, based on the submitted Unit Cost Matrix. However, final billing for the work order must reflect the actual costs if lower than estimate. b. a timeline for completion of the Work Order. The City of West Hollywood will review submission with Vendor and if acceptable, approve the work order in writing or via email and issue a Purchase Order (PO). Vendor must be able to commit to starting each issued work order within 30 days of notice of approval. The contractor shall be capable of providing experienced, knowledgeable, and professional staff, who will be responsive and maintain a good working relationship with the residents, businesses, and City staff. The contractor must have the ability to provide all supervision, labor, equipment, technical expertise, safety equipment, and service operations for fiber-optic network design, installation, construction, and maintenance of feeder lines, distribution lines, and premise drops. All work shall be performed under the supervision of a qualified superintendent or foreman.
