The City of Greenville will accept proposals for the purchase, delivery, and installation an emergency electrical generator, and the respective components. This work includes the following: • Disconnecting and removing the existing 45KW generator from the site and disposing of such at the bidder’s discretion. The bidder is responsible for all necessary equipment needed to remove the existing generator and to install the new generator, or any additional equipment needed to finish the project properly. • Installation of a minimum of 48KW, 3PH, 208V generator on site, with a NEMA 3R enclosure in the same location. • Fully connect to the building electrical system, meeting all requirements (permits, installation rules and regulations, laws, standards, and codes). All items utilized, and any ancillary equipment as part of installation, must be manufactured new and meet current codes and standards. • Utilize the existing Kohler automatic transfer switch (Model # KSS-ACTC-0600S) and ensure it remains in operation (the new generator shall be compatible with this switch). • Install a new battery and block heater in the generator. • Include an emergency stop control on the exterior of the enclosure. • Include all gas piping, electrical connections, and any additional systems for successful working of the generator, as needed. • Perform the start-up procedure and ensure system is fully-functional before stating the project is completed.
