Eligible activities covered by this NOFO are limited as follows: Rehabilitation/Renovation/Improvements to real property on O‘ahu that will benefit persons of low- and moderate-income. CDS funds may be used for upgrades and deferred maintenance of properties leased from the Department of Community Services, of which the non-profit agency is a lessee. The proposed improvements can also enhance program performance and improve the quality of life for the special needs population. Service providers should make improvements with the following focus areas: o Improve resiliency and durability of the facilities, o Extend the life of the exsting improvements, o Facility customization to improve services provided to the segment of community being served, o Meet the new HUD NSPIRE housing standards, and o Improve accessibility and compliance with the American with Disabilities Act
