The University of Maine (UMO) and SGC Engineering (SGC) is designing, building, and deploying an intermediate scale 225 kW floating offshore wind turbine (FOWT). The FOWT will be installed off Dyce Head in Castine, MEfor 24 – 60 months. UMO is requestinga proposal for the scope of work that is outlined below to be completed by the Contractor. With this scope of work, SGC will provide drawings to assist with creating a proposal. This scope of work nor provided drawings are finalized and SGC reserves the right to change as needed and agreed upon by all parties. This scope of work is broken down into two parts: 1. Land Installations 2. Ocean Installations The Land Installations are to be completed by April 25, 2025, except for running the cables into the ocean. Running the cables into the ocean and the final hookup will take place between the end of April and early May 2025 once the FOWT is installed on its mooring lines. All work is scheduled to be completed by mid-May 2025.
