The Master Contractor will complete the requirements as indicated to meet the Agency’s goals through the following objectives and must include the following tasks: A. A review that DSCI/GOSV has established and followed the compliance standards and procedures (“Compliance Program”) that were developed pursuant to the Agreement to prevent and detect violations of the law. B. A review, through interviews, that DSCI/GOSV leadership is knowledgeable about such Compliance Programs that have been developed pursuant to the Agreement. C. A review that DSCI/GOSV has made reasonable efforts to update its Compliance Program to ensure compliance with the Agreement and the underlying policies and procedures. D. A review that DSCI/GOSV made reasonable efforts to exclude from substantial authority any individual whom DSCI/GOSV knew or should have known through their due diligence during that period in violation of law or other conduct inconsistent with an effective Compliance Program. E. A review that DSCI/GOSV made reasonable efforts to communicate its Compliance Program to key employees through effective training programs or otherwise disseminating information appropriate to such individual’s job duties and responsibilities. F. A review that DSCI/GOSV has taken reasonable steps to ensure that its Compliance Program’s efforts are followed, to evaluate the effectiveness of its compliance standards and procedures, and to provide a system whereby GOSV’s employees and agents may report or seek guidance regarding potential or actual violations of law without fear of retaliation, including a mechanism for anonymous reporting. G. A review that DSCI/GOSV’s Compliance programs were enforced consistently through appropriate incentives – and as necessary, disciplinary measures taken for employees engaging in violations of the Compliance Program; and, H. A review that DSCI/GOSV has taken reasonable steps, if a violation of law was detected, to respond appropriately and take the necessary steps to prevent future violations of law, including making any necessary changes to the Compliance Program appropriately and to prevent future violations of law, including making any necessary changes to the Compliance Program to prevent and detect violations of law and to provide appropriate remediation to any injured party or agency.
