Solid Waste Management Division (SWMD) is requesting a qualified vendor who is Class 5 - Florida Protection Systems licensed, to construct a dry hydrant for fire protection at the Osceola Rd Landfill also a water fill station. Osceola Road Landfill does not have an adequate or reliable water distribution system for fire protection, the code allows other methods approved by the AHJ including a dry hydrant to be fed by an onsite water source (i.e. pond or lake) the water fill station will be fed by the same pond. S2Li has developed a system design including a drawing and specifications to meet NFPA 1142 and prepared permitting documents to permit the system though the Seminole County Building and Fire Departments. Contractor will also be responsible for finalizing the Seminole County Permitting process. The overall project involves the construction of a dry hydrant fire system. The scope of Work described herein is for the construction these facilities facilities. The construction will consist of the following: 1. Coordination with Landfill Operations for access and overall site work. 2. Retention pond clearing and trenching necessary for the pipe installation. 3. Construction of a dry hydrant system including pond inlet/strainer, piping/support in the retention pond, trenching and installation of below grade 8” PVC to the hydrant, dry hydrant, stripping/signage and other work necessary for a complete system that meets the Seminole County Fire Department requirements. 4. Submittals and Contract requirements, including record drawings. 5. Mobilization and demobilization
