● Develop search criteria that incorporates the District’s goals and the leadership characteristics the BOE and community consider requisite for success ● Demonstrate a candidate identification process that identifies a diverse pool of highly qualified and competent candidates in districts with a similar achievement and community context, reflecting a familiarity with our students’ needs ● Generate a position description with desired qualifications ● Develop an application process for the position ● Advise BOE regarding identification and assessments of candidates ● Assist the BOE in preparing for and conducting interviews by developing questions and evaluation forms. ● Prepare written summaries of the qualifications and experience of candidates presented for interview ● Assist the BOE in negotiating a contract with the selected candidate ● Gather input from key stakeholders—including board of education members, Oxford Public Schools administrators, teachers, staff, community organizations, and residents—to assess the district’s needs, goals, and priorities. This feedback will help define the essential qualifications and attributes for candidates. ● Conduct in-depth background investigations ● Identify other services that the proposer may suggest for the Board’s consideration and approval
