This project will entail improvements at IH-10 and Sjolander Road. The improvements include widening for an added thru/right turn lane from Sjolander Road to the East Bound Frontage Road (EBFR) as well as a right turn only lane from Sjolander Rd. to EBFR. The number of through lanes on south bound (SB) Sjolander Rd. is increased from one lane to two lanes on the approach to the EBFR intersection. The SB through lane extends through the intersection and transitions back to the existing roadway. The improvement also includes new signal poles, upgraded curb ramps, utility relocations, reinforced concrete pipe (RCP) extensions with safety end treatments (SET), and replacement of RCP and SETs. This project will add a raised median on Sjolander Rd. It will also include the removal of existing pavement on EBFR and a new driveway to replace the access removed. Finally, this project will include striping, regrading of the ditch, and seeding within the limits.
