Radiology Services will include portable x-ray studies, ultrasound imaging, and vascular Doppler studies. The number and type of procedures performed will depend on the medical needs of the residents. Portable x-ray services will include facial bones/orbit, chest x-ray one or two views, rib detail x-ray, cervical spine x-ray, thoracic spine x-ray, lumbosacral spine x-ray, pelvic x-ray with three views, clavicle, shoulder, humerus, elbow, wrist, hand, hip unilateral and bilateral, femur x-ray AP and lateral, knee, ankle, foot, abdomen AP and abdomen multiple views. Additional special x-rays may be requested depending on medical needs. Portable ultrasound imaging will include head/neck to include thyroid, breasts, abdomen complete and limited screening exams, aorta, scrotum, pelvis, upper abdomen including gallbladder, soft tissues of extremities and other exams as needed. Vascular Doppler studies including carotid arteries, lower extremity arterial Doppler and venous Doppler studies, as well as upper extremity arterial and upper extremity venous Doppler studies. All imaging procedures will be performed at the applicable Michigan Veteran Homes facility by accredited personnel.
