Contractor shall, during the life of the contract, operate and maintain the minimum-required number of school buses to transport conveniently and safely all students designated by the District to be served under the provisions of the bid. Such transportation shall be provided on each and every day that school is convened and in accordance with the bus routes and schedules developed by the District and affirmed by the Contractor. Length of the contract, on August 1, 2025, will be at the District’s discretion to select a three, four, or five year contract based upon the bid results. If the Board awards the contract with electric school bus requirements (see Appendix 2, Options 4-6), then depending on the contract term awarded, Contractor will be required to service the routes using at least 2 electric school buses starting in the 2026-2027 school year; 3 electric school buses in the 2027-2028 school year; 5 electric school buses in the 2028-2029 school year; and 7 electric school buses in the 2029-2030 school year. Any extensions of the original contract will be at the mutual consent of both parties.
