A. The St. Mary’s County Metropolitan Commission is currently soliciting bids for Right of Way (ROW) Recovery and Clearing. The work to be performed under the contract consists of furnishing labor, service equipment, and materials to remove all vegetative growth, trash and debris on properties (sewer and water line Rights of Way and Easements) located in St. Mary’s County, Maryland. B. Acreage will be maintained every 3 to 5 years or as directed by the COR or designated representative. C. The Commission has approximately twenty-five (25) acres (approximately 54,500 linear feet) currently requiring this service. Utility ROW’s are twenty feet (20’) wide. Currently there are approximately 23,000 linear feet that requires Recovery Clearing (followed by periodic maintenance) and approximately 31,500 linear feet requiring Maintenance only. D. A Pre-Bid conference will be held on Wednesday, March 05, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time at the administrative office of the Commission at 23121 Camden Way, California, Maryland, 20619 to answer any questions concerning these Contract Documents. Attendance is highly encouraged but not mandatory. E. This is an indefinite quantity contract where no minimum amount of work is guaranteed. F. The initial Contract period will commence upon approval by the Commission and execution of the Agreement. The COR will notify the Contractor when the first service of the season is required. This Contract is subject to renewal by mutual consent of both parties for three (3) optional one-year renewal options, on the anniversary of the Agreement in subsequent years.
