provide administrative support and technical assistance to small Kansas rural hospitals eligible to apply for the program. The general categories of work include: • Assure Critical Access Hospitals (CAH) and eligible prospective payment system (PPS) hospitals have resources to access quality improvement activities as approved by the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA). • Effectively administer the SHIP grant to ensure that hospitals understand and implement SHIP priorities. • Promote hospital participation in state-based or regional network activities to leverage SHIP dollars. These activities shall be performed in coordination with and at the direction of the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE), Division of Health, Bureau of Community Health Systems, State Office of Primary Care and Rural Health and in compliance with HRSA guidance.
