The work shall include the installation of approximately 300 L.F. of 6” Watermain, 10,250 L.F. of 8” Watermain, and 20 L.F. of 12” Watermain in various locations throughout the City of Elmhurst. There will be a base bid and alternate bid for this project which includes all ductile iron watermain for the base bid and an alternate bid with PVC in lieu of ductile iron watermain in select locations. The work shall also include drilled and open cut watermain, fittings, services, private services, valves in vaults; excavation and backfill; trench backfilling; removal and replacement of pavement and curbs; restoration of parkways; traffic control; system cleaning, testing and disinfecting; hydrants with valves; and all other related work.
