Scope of Services The City is seeking professional engineering and technical services for the planning, design and construction engineering support required for the final engineering plans, specification and estimate for the design of SR20 Cascade Trail Phase 2A STPUS 0020(200) Design Services include, at a minimum, the following: • Preparation and submittal of intermediate (90%) and final (100%) design documents including drawings, specifications, and detailed cost estimates. • Verify culvert design on the Brickyard Creek crossing. • Geotechnical services as required. • Assistance in bidding and selection of construction contractor. • Construction Contract administration and documentation services, as required. • Construction phase engineering support (post-design services). The work requires familiarity with all current WSDOT and APWA design standards, as well as WSDOT road construction standard specifications. All plans developed by the consultant are required to be sealed by a Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensed in the state of Washington. In addition, the consultant may be requested to provide bidding and construction services. The City will require AutoCAD format drawings that achieve a high quality level of plan preparation. The City anticipates consultant selection in March 2025 and contract execution by April 2025 with design completed in time for construction obligation in December 2025; anticipated advertisement for construction in early January 2026. The City of Sedro-Woolley reserves the right to retain the services of the successful firm(s) for any subsequent phases (R/W, CN) associated with this project.
