All parts of the apparatus will be designed with a factor of safety, which is equal to or greater than that which is considered standard and acceptable for this class of equipment in firefighting service. All parts of the proposed apparatus will be strong enough to withstand general service under full load. The apparatus will be so designed that the various parts are readily accessible for lubrication, inspection, adjustment and repair. The apparatus will be designed and constructed, and the equipment so mounted, with due consideration to distribution of the load between front and rear axles that all specified equipment, including a full complement of specified ground ladders, full water tank, loose equipment, and firefighters will be carried without overloading or injuring the apparatus. The vendor must complete and submit the Specifications Checklist, Exhibit A, with their bid. Failure to include the Specifications Checklist may be just cause for bid rejection.
