Preparing and maintaining a Public Involvement Plan (PIP) to guide an equitable and inclusive engagement process • Establishing and facilitating a stakeholder committee/task force/working group that represents diverse community/civic perspectives to provide guidance and support as the project advances • Preparing for, facilitating, and/or documenting stakeholder/community/executive leadership meetings and briefings • Supporting interagency coordination including, but not limited to, Washington State Department of Transportation, King County Metro, Seattle Public Utilities, Seattle City Light, Office of Planning and Community Development, Seattle Police Department, Department of Neighborhoods, etc. • Developing and leading public engagement activities (i.e. in-person/virtual open houses, popup events, etc.) • Preparing public-facing materials including coordination for in-language materials and translations (i.e. webpage content, listserv updates, Factsheets, FAQS, Flyers, A-frames, blog posts, social media, mailers, ads, etc.) • Providing graphics that align with SDOT style guides (i.e. maps, renderings, visual aids, outreach material) • Developing, conducting, and analyzing public/business surveys • Preparing reports and presentation materials to summarize and share engagement activities, survey results, workgroup meetings, etc. • Responding and manage project inbox, including archiving and tracking external communications using EnviroLytical. • Effectively utilize SDOT communication tools (GovDelivery, CMS, etc) • Providing incentives for community participation in general outreach activities and advisory committee work. • Identify and leverage relationships with organizations that support underrepresented populations • Assist with grant support services including researching funding sources, writing applications, and managing follow up.
