Scope of Work: Project Description Design, furnish and installation of complete playscape as described below. Adding 3340 SF + or - to the existing 3363 SF +or- square feet playscape area Total Playground area will equal 6703+/- sq ft upon completion. Price will include; removal and disposal of existing equipment, installation and excavation, grading, required foundations, base materials: concrete, crush stone, poured-in-place rubber play surface for the entire playscape. Summary: Having a larger more inclusive playground at Camp Harkness will ensure equal access to recreational activities for adults and children with disabilities, promoting acceptance of diversity throughout. It will provide a safe play experience for all. Our current playground is outdated, deteriorated, and insufficient to accommodate the volume of Passholders utilizing our campground. Expansion is needed to incorporate additional adaptive equipment, providing proper materials for the oceanfront property, which will improve the structures’ sustainability and longevity. Material: a) Salt resistant, durable and suited for severe weather and unwanted abuse in the outdoors. b) No PVC shall be present on any portion of the equipment. c) Manufacturer’s equipment shall integrate play opportunities for all abilities within the same play equipment items and locations, rather than provide separate ADAspecific play items and areas. d) Manufacturer’s representative and/or designer to be Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI). e) Manufacturer Qualifications: Minimum 5-year experience manufacturing similar products. f) All play structures shall be certified and validated to be in conformance with the ASTM F1487 Standard. g) All playground equipment to be certified by IPEMA. h) To the best of manufacturer's belief and knowledge play structures to conform to the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) Guidelines.
