1. The City of New Orleans (“City”) solicits bids to obtain a requirements contract to provide the City of New Orleans with an authorized General Motors Dealer/Distributor to provide Repairs, Services and parts sales on all General Motors automobiles, light duty trucks and SUVs maintained and operated by the City Of New Orleans. 2. The City of New Orleans maintains public safety vehicles including Police, EMS and other emergency response departments that may require repairs and/or services in an expedient manner in cases of emergencies such as; increased backlog of vehicles requiring repairs, approaching storms and etc., and may require the contractor to provide priority services as needed. 3. This bid shall require that bidders must be an authorized full service Original Equipment Manufacturer for General Motors automobiles, light trucks and S.U.V.’s for repairs, services and repair parts located in the metro New Orleans area including Jefferson Parish. 4. Contractor signifies its understanding and agreement by signing this document that these specifications will produce a non-exclusive “requirements” contract. This contract does not guarantee any purchases will be made. Contractor shall take no action under this Contract unless specifically requested by the City of New Orleans, which shall submit a written purchase order to the Contractor requesting that work be performed or product delivered.
