The City intends to identify a preferred vendor or vendors to use on an “as needed and or as requested” basis for various asphalt trench patching services for either different construction related projects or different, small, individual locations needing repair throughout the City. Asphalt will be supplied by the City’s supplier and charged to the City’s account. The asphalt trench patch vendor will pick up asphalt at the plant and haul it to the work site. The work site(s) may be one (1) or more separate, individual small trenches that can be handled by hand application and compaction of the asphalt, or it may be a lengthier, continuous stretch of trench that will require a paving machine to mechanically apply the asphalt and a roller to compact the area and complete the work. Trench patching shall include a tack coat of emulsion to seal the outside edges of the patched area. The vendor must supply sufficient manpower and equipment to provide the requested services in a timely and professional manner.
