The District seeks proposals for professional services for teacher professional development in the areas of instruction, and curriculum and assessment development for the high school course of College Board’s Advanced Placement (AP) United States History. Specifically, teachers should receive learning in content and pedagogy to improve instruction, and develop curriculum and assessments in Advanced Placement (AP) United States History. These services must be provided by working doctorates in secondary schools or post-secondary institutions, in the respective field, with demonstrated evidence of teaching and writing curriculum, and providing professional development in this field. Such evidence includes but is not limited to documentation of substantial Advanced Placement (AP) work. These services include availability for in-person and virtual professional development; in-person and virtual collaborative work with teachers and administrators; instructional walkthroughs; and written curriculum and assessments based on current research and pedagogy. The new curricula and assessments will be available to multiple high schools within the District.
