The School Board of Brevard County, Florida is seeking a qualified vendor to replace its current ERP financial and human resources systems. The district, which is the 10th largest in Florida and the 49th largest in the nation, currently uses the highly customized Harris School Solutions software, also known as Total Educational Resource Management System (TERMS). This system, written in COBOL and running on an IBM iSeries operating system, has been in use for over 30 years. The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit responses from vendors offering a fully integrated Commercial off the Shelf (COTS), state-of-the-art solution that meets the district's needs. The district seeks a cloud-based solution with a firm that has experience in Florida's K-12 environment, particularly with state reporting requirements The new ERP system should modernize operations by providing streamlined, automated workflow options, robust real-time reporting, and enhanced security features. It should also reduce redundant data entry, eliminate hard-copy paperwork where appropriate, and offer high-quality training and support. The district is interested in a comprehensive solution that includes financials, human resources, and additional systems such as inventory, fixed assets, and grants management. The awarded respondent will partner with the district to provide the necessary professional services for a successful implementation, including project implementation, software installation and configuration, and business process review and design.
