The City of Lee’s Summit is seeking submittals from qualified firms/providers to design and construct one gateway monument on the South side of the city, with the possibility of an additional gateway monument at another location if funding allows. The current southbound monument on I-470 may be used as reference, however new designs are highly encouraged. Work required will include the design of the monument to include lighting, landscaping, and site selection that considers both aesthetics and roadside safety considerations. Some coordination with MoDOT may also be required. Providing alternate locations may be an additional scope based on the design provided. The current location is to the East side of highway 291 Northbound at interstate 291 and interstate 150 interchange. It would be located between highway 291 Northbound and the 150 on-ramp onto highway 291
