The vendor will perform medical screening for clearance to assess and fit test staff to N95 Mask to meet OSHA respiratory requirements. Vendor/Bidder must be an Environmental & Occupational Health Provider experienced in respirator medical evaluations and fit testing. Vendor staff must consist of 1 Occupational Medicine Physician and 1 Occupational Health Nurse. The provider must be able to provide respirator medical evaluation to determine medical clearance for disposable filtering facepiece respirators, including but not limited to N95s and reusable air-purifying respirators. Must be able to meet the OSHA standards for fit testing at 1910.134 (requires that, before an employee may be required to use any respirator with a negative or positive pressure tight-fitting facepiece, the employee must be fit tested with the same make, model, style, and size of respirator that will be used.) and provide effective communication to inform the staff of the health and safety information related to using N95s. The fit testing must be performed using an OSHA-approved method. All new surveyors need to have this completed. There are approximately 50 surveyor positions filled and plan to hire an additional 200 surveyors over the next 2 years. Fit testing is to be completed during business hours. Monday through Friday 8:30 am – 5pm CST on a as needed basis.
