DESCRIPTION: Crop Chemicals ACQUIRE SUPPLIES / EQUIPMENT (JAN 2006) The purpose of this solicitation is to establish a fixed price contract for various crop fertilizers, spreading of fertilizer when needed and crop seed for the Agricultural Division of The SC Department of Corrections. The SC Dept. of Corrections has determined and set Fixed pricing on Glyphosate, Surfactant and Methylated Seed oil. Mi nimum discounts of 20 % for various other crop chemicals. Bidders are encouraged to exceed the minimum discounts or offer lower on the fixed price items established by the SC Department of Corrections. This could potentially increase the volume of business they do with SC Department of Corrections by offering the lowest net price available. [01-1005-1] This is a Fixed Price Bid. Multiple awards are anticipated. Awards will be made to all offerors deemed responsive and responsible, and those awarded offerors will be added to a Qualified Provider List (QPL). Receiving an award and being added to the QPL does not guarantee a use of services or funding level. Failure of an awarded offeror to receive business will not be grounds for a contract controversy under Section 11-35-4230 of the SC Consolidated Procurement Code.
