It is the intent of Spartanburg School District Six (hereinafter referred to as the "District") to solicit bids for District-Wide pest control services. This solicitation does not commit the District to award a contract, to pay any costs incurred in preparation of a bid, nor to procure any services that may be offered. The Contractor shall provide monthly and emergency pest control for all District, offices, and cafeterias listed on the Bidding Schedule. Monthly pest control services shall include the control of rats, mice, roaches, waterbugs, all varieties of ants, spiders, silverfish, crickets, centipedes, fleas, and fire ants covering building perimeters, walking paths of each building and all playgrounds. Treatment for these pests shall include a five-foot perimeter around all building structures. Spider webs and wasps nests should be removed from doorways, windows, and covered walkways each month. Exterior doorways and window frames are to be treated in the perimeter. • The cafeterias, storage rooms and restrooms shall be serviced on each monthly visit. Classrooms, or any other areas having problems, will be serviced during regular monthly visits. • There will be no charge to the District for call backs related to areas serviced during a normal monthly visit. All schools will have the same areas covered by this agreement. Additional areas not covered in this scope will be reviewed and charged to the District on a case by case basis. • Annual treatment, in August, of Dorman High stadium for spiders, specifically Black Widows. • If a pest problem becomes severe enough to warrant fogging of an entire school or portions of a school, the contractor must provide this at no additional charge. The District shall make the determination as to when fogging is necessary. The Director of Maintenance must be notified to coordinate a schedule for the buildings. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, supervision, equipment, services, incidentals, and related items necessary to complete the work in accordance with this specification and scope of work. The District reserves the right to add or delete buildings or work sites to this contract at any time during the contract term.
