1. Preliminary Engineering and Final Design of Mid-Block Crossings & Pedestrian Facilities Consultant shall produce a design for 8 mid-block crossings at predetermined locations along Zarzamora Street from Fredericksburg Road to I-35. Design should reflect safety as paramount criteria as well as accessibility and connectivity. a. Data –COSA will provide any as-built plans, right-of-way plans, drawings, and aerials, as available. COSA will also provide any warrant studies as well as traffic control and signal timing data. b. Environmental Review– The design will be performed within any environmental constraint(s) identified through the NEPA process. The NEPA phase is underway and anticipated to be complete before design phase begins. c. Survey and Mapping – Consultant shall perform survey work in conformance with the City’s Design Guidance Manual which may include right-of-way, topography, cross-sections, and other related survey work required for the design of a project. d. Utilities – Consultant shall coordinate with utility companies and integrate utility plan information (overhead and underground) into project mapping and analysis regarding constructability, scope, and schedule. Consultant shall provide expertise to manage utility work within the overall project.
