The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS or Department), Florida Forest Service (FFS) seeks to obtain competitive bids for the improvement of roads within Belmore State Forest (BSF), located in Clay County, Florida. Managed by the Jacksonville District of the FFS, this project aims to enhance approximately 3.2 miles (mi) of forest roads. Specifically, the project will encompass improvements to four (4) roads: Kenwood, Shanty, McCoy’s Cup, and Kettle Road, according to the technical specifications set forth herein. This Invitation to Bid (ITB) and all activities leading toward the anticipated issuance of a Construction Project Agreement between the Department and Contractor are conducted pursuant and subject to Chapters 255, and 287, Florida Statutes (F.S.), and Rule 60D-5, Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.). This project focuses on improving four (4) roads in BSF and replacing one culvert: - 0.6 mi of Kenwood Rd, from the intersection of Kettle to Shanty Rd. - 1.1 mi of Shanty Rd, from the intersection of Kenwood to McCoy’s Cup Rd. - 0.6 mi McCoy’s Cup Rd. from the intersection of Shanty and Kettle Rd. - 0.9 mi of Kettle Rd, from the intersection of McCoy’s Cup to Orleans Rd. - Replace and armor one culvert located on McCoy’s Cup Road, near the intersection with Shanty Rd.
