The City is responsible for the management of all employee benefits and offering competitive benefits is key. The City selects all third-party administrators that help manage employee benefits offered by the City to Eligible Employees and Eligible Retirees (individually referred to as “Eligible Employees” and “Eligible Retirees” collectively referred to herein as “Participants”). Through this Request for Proposal (RFP), the City seeks to obtain proposals from well-qualified pet insurance firms that offer on a voluntary basis: • pet insurance plans that include up to full pet insurance coverage to include national coverage in case of emergency during travel and/or for retirees who reside outside the State of Arizona but within the United States. • Meaningful pet discounts, to include but not limited to, pet supplies, online discount pet supply stores, etc. The Pet Insurance with Discount plans will be offered to newly benefit-eligible employees and retirees, and during each annual open enrollment period through the City’s communication initiatives.
