Rock Valley College is accepting submittals for two (2) Miller 951823 AugmentedArc® Augmented Reality Welding Systems. These virtual reality welding simulators will be used to enhance credit courses and students’ learning opportunities in the Welding Department as well as in the Early College summer program for middle school students. These simulator systems will provide the opportunity for students to deepen their knowledge of welding principles by enabling them to gain hands-on experience while avoiding the safety hazards posed by the use of the regular welding equipment. Students will be able to demonstrate their understanding of techniques and safe practices before moving on to actual welders. In addition to the simulator systems, Rock Valley College is seeking to procure two (2) sets of Miller 951775 Heavy-duty Transportation Cases. These would be used for the transport and storage of the two systems. The specifications listed in this Bid are intended to be representative of materials, construction, and design/function characteristics desired by Rock Valley College. Submittals are to contain an itemized price list as well as an overall total for the bid. All items shall be new and not refurbished or remanufactured. Vendor shall be required to provide all equipment with full manufacturer warranties. Alternate base submittals will not be accepted as the equipment identified herein is the existing standard used by the College.
