The project consists of construction of a new generation building within the Central Wastewater Treatment Plant (CWWTP) near the intersection of 2nd Avenue North and Hume Street. The generation building will have a footprint of about 10,000 square feet. About 6,000 square feet of the structure will be a high-bay metal building serving as the generator bay containing six generators. The generator bay will adjoin a single-story structure with CMU walls containing a Control, Storage, MV Electrical, Battery, and LV Electrical rooms. We understand that a new utility corridor is planned from the proposed generator building to the biosolids facility. The corridor will be about 600 feet long. Based on information provided in the biweekly project meetings, we understand deep foundations may be required for the utility corridor which will travel adjacent to 2nd Avenue North to avoid the existing solar farm. Traffic loading conditions were not provided at the time of this report. We have estimated approximately 50,000 equivalent single axel loads (ESALs) for a light duty pavement section. Additionally, we assume a heavy-duty pavement section will be designed for a minimum of 125,000 ESALs. Construction services required for the installation of a fine 12.5 MW Backup Generation System at the Central WRF in accordance with the drawings and specifications. The principal features of the work to be performed under this contract includes, but is not limited to: * Construction of a new building * 5 new 2.5 MW generators * MV and LV gear and connections * System Integration * New duct backs * Utility relocations * Parking area * Drainage * Solar Installation * Supporting appurtenances
