The scope of work includes upgrades to the current air conditioning systems and electrical upgrades to the East, Center, and West block housing units, stockroom, kitchen, and laundry room per the recommendations made in the Air Conditioning Feasibility Study, prepared by Van Zelm Consulting Engineers, dated 11/3/2023. The minor architectural scope of services includes but is not limited to advising on and reviewing penetrations through masonry and concrete walls and floors for new piping, cables, and ductwork. The primary objectives are to provide effective temperature control and ventilation for the building’s occupants. The upgraded system shall incorporate energy-saving features, facilitate ease of maintenance, be adaptable for future upgrades and allow to tie into the existing BMS system. Improvements to the existing BMS will include provisions to incorporate all new HVAC components and the existing decentralized systems throughout the facility. Currently there are packaged DX air handler and VRF systems that have been added area-by-area since 1990
