The contract is for each property to be mowed a total of 35 times with the expectation that each property is mowed a minimum of 1 time per week, starting the second week of March through the end of October. ○ A detailed mowing schedule should be provided along with the Bid Form to determine the time of mowing for each school. h. Mowing Expectation: Lawns should be mowed at a setting of 3.5”. Clumps of grass should not be left in areas that were mowed. All clippings should be collected or mulched fine enough to provide a “clean” look to the lawn. If collected, all grass clippings should be disposed of offsite. All clippings should be blown from sidewalks, parking lots, and any areas outside of the lawn. Any trash is to be picked up prior to mowing the property. i. Trimming Expectation: Sidewalks, Curbs, Buildings, and Obstacles within the lawn should be properly edged/trimmed and grass should not be overgrown. Any use of weed killer must be approved by the Director of Facilities prior to application. Bidder is responsible for any erosion due to use of weed killer. j. Mowing shall not take place within 100 ft. of playing children. k. Payment will be made monthly
