The contractor shall provide an advanced, turnkey, walk-through single lane weapons detection system (“WDS”) that must consist of, at minimum, the screening checkpoint equipment, the equipment set-up, equipment configuration, equipment calibration, equipment testing, operational training for the state agency, equipment maintenance, and equipment repairs. The WDS will specifically identify weapons to increase security, prevent violent incidents, and protect individuals from harm. The system must not only detect weapons, but it must also provide classification of the weaponry and the location of the weapon(s) on an individual. This must be accomplished through screens which connect and can be accessed through a cellular network, without State of Missouri network access and allow the State of Missouri to view identified weapons via another secure network connection pathway approved by the OA-FMDC and the state agency. Information should be able to be stored for at least thirty (30) days. Additionally, the WDS should decrease current manpower needs by allowing visitors to simply walk through a threshold without stopping to empty their pockets or remove any of their personal items and should reduce the alarm error rate to a more sustainable level for security staff, while not compromising detection of weapons capable of mass casualty events.
