2025 ANNUAL WATER/SANITARY UTILITY REPAIRS BOROUGH OF ROSELAND ESSEX COUNTY, NEW JERSEY The purpose of the contract is to retain a contractor on a stand-by basis, for a period beginning at the time of contract execution until December 31, 2025, to make repairs to the water and sanitary sewer systems of the municipality or other work as directed. Since the work will often involve immediate repair work, it is a requirement that the Contractor be well experienced and familiar with the types of work to be done and be able to respond to urgent calls within four (4) hours of notification. Typical but not all-inclusive examples of the work are excavation and replacement of a leaking, collapsed or ruptured pipe, repair and replacement of gate valves, repair of street pavement damaged by either the collapse or the replacement operation, and other necessary repairs or new construction. Although repairs occur every year, the exact nature and number of occurrences are unpredictable, as are the correction measures that will be required. It is possible that some contract items may not be used during the term of the contract. The bidders should plan accordingly
