• During a pandemic, if therapies are required to be provided virtually, the same billing requirements are in effect as with in-person therapy sessions. If virtual therapy cannot be provided for any reason, upon parent’s request, session packets can be mailed out to the student. The vendor will be reimbursed for postage for mailing out the packets; however, postage receipts and/or meter readings must be provided as proof of mailing. • Be available for frequent, if not daily contact with the Supervisor regarding program status, student progress, staff performance and program needs. • Be knowledgeable specifically in the philosophy and principles of Applied Behavior Analysis and be certified at the highest level (B.C.B.A.), in order to advise the Supervisor about the nuances of learning and behavior of children with Autism. • Provide therapy per IEP, and daily therapeutic & educational interventions for the children in the program. Therapists are to work around a student’s schedule. Therapy sessions are not to be provided during core curriculum classes or during breakfast, lunch, or nap time. • Organize and coordinate Home ABA services for parents and their children. • Participate with the Supervisor in conversations and interviews with potential staff members. • Along with the Supervisor and Child Study Team, assure the quality of each student’s program, and the high professional quality of all reports, evaluations and correspondence with district administration and the parent network. • Be knowledgeable in the research, studies and publications, which deal with the Autism field. To apply that knowledge through assisting the supervisor in the preparation of Grant applications and subsequent administration. • Have a demonstrated history of competence and comfort in representing the program to the broader academic and demanding school community. • Properly assess, consult and advise staff and parents in the application of behavioral strategies and interventions. • Have previous experience in the operations of a large public school system, in designing applications of ABA principles for children who receive Special Education and related services. • Conduct a variety of workshops and professional growth experiences for professional and support staff in the Program, during the calendar year.
