Standards: Each enclosure shall conform with all applicable ANSI and IEEE standards. It shall meet or exceed ANSI padmount equipment enclosure integrity standards. Construction: Fiberglass laminate will be at least 3/16” nominal thickness and locally reinforced as needed. It shall not support combustion and shall be self extinguishing. No exposed fibers shall be found either on the inside or the outside of this enclosure. All interior hardware shall be made of 304 stainless steel or 6061-T6 aluminum. The ground line shall be stenciled on the exterior by a black dashed line. Dimensions: Height – 50”, Width – 68 3/4”, Depth – 42 3/4”, Burial Depth – 28” Cover: In the full open position, the cover shall be removable from the enclosure. It shall be attached to the enclosure with stainless steel slip joint hinges. Security: The enclosure shall have a captive penta head bolt and provisions for padlocking. Parking Stand: Six (6) adjustable parking stands shall be provided in each enclosure below the 200 amp elbow junction mounting plate. Junctions: The 200 amp junctions will be supplied and installed by AMES. Grounding: A ground lug capable of accommodating at least #4 stranded copper wire shall be installed on the elbow mounting plate. Exterior Finish: The exterior of the enclosure shall be Munsell Green #7GY3.29/1.5 in color. It shall be resistant to ultraviolet light degradation. A 7 1/2” high x 10 1/2” wide smooth surface shall be centered on the cover of the enclosure above the locking mechanism for warning label installation. The label will be supplied and installed by AMES. Shipping: The enclosures shall be shipped secured to a nonreturnable wood pallet suitable for handling with a forklift. Shipping terms shall be FOB, Electric Distribution, Ames, Iowa.
