3.1 All Groups: Provide all labor, equipment and materials required to furnish and perform all site maintenance work for each Group as scheduled for the specified tasks below: 3.2 Trimming and Mowing; including weedeating and push mowers. 3.3 Paved Areas. 3.4 Maintenance Reports. 3.2 All Groups: Mowing, Trimming & Weeding: 3.2.1 General: The contractor shall submit a mowing schedule for the season for the approval by the County Parks and Outside Agency representatives. Mowing shall begin in early April. In the event mowing is changed to another day of the week due to rain or other conditions, beyond the control of the contractor, the mowing schedule will revert back to the original day for the following week. At the time of cutting, keep mower blades sharp and adjusted for a finished cut height of 2-3 inches. The maximum and minimum cutting heights shall be as directed by the County or Outside Agency for each site. Mowing, trimming and edging shall be performed not less than Weekly or Bi-Weekly, pursuant to the schedules set by the contracting agencies. Reel or rotary mowers are acceptable and shall be well adjusted and the blades sharp. Grass clippings from mowing shall be directed away from plant and flower beds. 3.2.2 Mowing shall not be performed when ground is excessively wet. 3.2.3 Prior to mowing, the contractor shall pick up and legally dispose of all debris, including trash, tree limbs and sticks. Large fallen tree limbs shall be put curbside. The contractor shall notify the County for their removal. Cutting around tree limbs is not acceptable. 3.2.4 The contractor shall coordinate with the Camden County Technical Schools. The Contractor shall mow the fields as directed by the Camden County Technical Schools. 3.2.5 Grass edges as well as areas around trees, shrubs, beds, both sides of the curb, parking bumpers, benches and tables, sidewalk cracks, fencing, buildings, sculptures, playground borders and all other obstacles, manmade and natural, shall be hand trimmed at the time of each mowing and neat lawn edges shall be maintained.
