The selected Vendor will: Conduct a literature review and broader research of existing state and federal plans, protocols, and guidelines regarding emergency behavioral health response to school shootings and community violence events. Convene and facilitate meetings of subject matter experts (SMEs) to solicit their insight and recommendations for DMH response to such events and recommendations for enhancements to the DMH All-Hazards Statewide Behavioral Health Emergency Response Plan, with a particular focus on school shootings and community violence. These recommendations will form the basis for an appendix to the exiting plan. Develop and implement informational sessions and trainings for key stakeholders regarding recommended enhancements to the DMH All-Hazards Statewide Behavioral Health Emergency Response Plan. Provide additional implementation support to DMH regarding enhancements to the DMH All-Hazards Statewide Behavioral Health Emergency Response Plan enhancements. This scope of work aims to update and enhance DMH’s emergency response capabilities, particularly as they relate to school shootings and community violence, thus ensuring a timely and effective response to critical incidents affecting community safety.
