Scope of Work to be achieved or funded under the grant: This funding will allow Massachusetts largest cities to pilot innovative approaches to addressing homelessness in their communities and across Massachusetts. This grant may also be utilized to increase local capacity to support unhoused residents in their communities. This could include, but is not limited to, the following: Retrofitting a van for mobile clinic use to support people experiencing homelessness, Piloting a day engagement center, Installation of lockers in existing shelters, Purchasing modular tiny homes, and the piloting of additional programs and resources to address homelessness in their communities. Participating MLCHC entities may also use funding to increase training for local staff as it pertains to addressing homelessness and supporting individuals experiencing homelessness, as well as engagement with community members to develop local, innovative programs and solutions.
