The Public Improvement, upon which bids are requested, generally consists of construction of a storm sewer gatewell located in the Great America Financial Services parking lot at 1st Street SE and 5th Avenue SE. The work covered by this section consists of furnishing all materials and equipment and performing all labor for the forming of concrete for the pump manhole and gatewell structures. Materials shall be inspected upon delivery to assure that specified products have been received. The design, engineering, and construction of the formwork is the responsibility of the Contractor. Design formwork for anticipated live and dead loads and comply with the specified tolerances. Design formwork as a complete system with consideration given to the effects of cementitious materials and mixture additives such as cement type, air entrainment, and others. Monitor the adequacy of formwork design and construction prior to and during concrete placement as part of the Contractor's approved Quality Control Plan.
