The services include providing engineering design and construction documents for the following items of work, asphalt mill and overlay, full-depth pavement replacement, and replacement of deteriorated curb and gutter, inlet tops, sidewalks and sidewalk ramps, as warranted. There will also be City Utility Replacements as directed by the Utilities Dept. 1. Meet with City staff at critical stages throughout design. 2. Perform field and topographic surveys. 3. Design roadway improvements including asphalt mill and overlay, full-depth pavement, curb and gutter, inlet tops, sidewalks, sidewalk ramps, pavement markings, signing, etc. as warranted. 4. Coordinate with the City Utilities Department to investigate existing utility condition and determine any needed improvements. 5. Work with the City’s right-of-way agent to prepare legal descriptions and obtain needed right-of-way and/or temporary easements. 6. Develop and submit conceptual drawings (30% complete) with an estimate of probable construction costs (EPCC). 7. Develop and submit field-check drawings (60% complete) and an updated EPCC.
