The Saint Louis Zoo’s Facilities Management division is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to replace the Primate Canopy Trails climbing structure netting. Scope of work includes: 1. Chute 3B, Chute 3D including dead end, Chute 3C: Remove and replace all wear layer netting with 2.5” synthetic square mesh cargo net. See drawings in Attachment 1 for dimensions. 2. Climber Inclined Nets: Remove and replace two existing inclined cargo nets with 3” synthetic cargo net 3. Handrail Safety Netting: The Zoo is requesting a price per square foot as follows: a. Remove existing knotless netting below the handrail, b. Install a new connection point along the perimeter of the openings using stainless steel screw eyes and rope. c. Use new connection point to install new 2.5” synthetic square mesh cargo net. Note: Existing cargo netting is nailed and stapled into the black locust poles. Nails are typically 3”-4” apart along the black locust poles. See Attachment 2.
