The Public Art Master Plan must include: • A Context Report which will provide a brief analysis and evaluation of the current City of Redmond public art inventory, gaps in art in the public realm, a discussion of the strategic position of the City and public art, and recommended changes and opportunities. • A Strategic Framework which includes: goals for public art that tie into the City and Parks department mission, vision, and values, a distillation of community wants and needs for public art as revealed in public questionnaires, workshops, and other engagement tools, recommended “collection components” such as overarching themes, qualities, and categories for public art that could organize the City’s public art collection into a compelling and comprehensive whole, and criteria for prioritizing projects into distinct phases of implementation. • An Action Plan which will identify and prioritize specific opportunities and locations for public art. • A Public Art Plan Document that is presented in an engaging and useful format for public consumption, which will include written documentation that responds to comments from City staff and community stakeholder feedback. • A High-Level Summary Document that briefly and clearly illustrates the important elements and most actionable items using pictures, graphics, and graphs.
