The Jordan Basin Improvement District (the “District”) provides wastewater infrastructure and services for portions of Salt Lake County and Utah County, Utah. The District’s collection system is comprised of approximately 1,075 miles of sanitary sewer lines and 27,000 manholes. The District owns and operates a 15 MGD membrane bioreactor wastewater treatment plant known as the Jordan Basin Water Reclamation Facility (JBWRF). This Invitation to Bid is for the Aeration Diffuser Replacement project, includes replacing the fine bubble ceramic aeration diffusers with fine air membrane aeration diffusers in three activated sludge aeration basins. This project is to replace all ceramic diffusers with membrane diffusers on two of the four process trains at JBWRF, three tanks per train. Two of the trains were completed in 2024, this project is for the remaining two trains in 2025. The layout and number of diffusers will be listed in this document.
