The Scope of Work includes but is not necessarily limited to furnishing and installing the following: 1. Demolition- The Contractor will furnish all equipment, tools, and labor for the demolition including removal and safe disposal from the site of the walls to be removed, cabinetry, ceilings, doors/frames and hardware, workstations, sinks, faucets, electric heater, exhaust fans, camera equipment and any other item that is not to remain in the classroom. Also includes the demolition below grade of the existing tank cap the corner of the room. The demolished concrete floor in this area will need to be replaced with level concrete to accept new VCT flooring. 2. Carpentry- Furnish and install miscellaneous framing and drywall required for finished wall that will remain. Finish taping of all drywall is to be a Level 4. Also includes any patching of imperfections on existing walls. 3. Acoustical Ceiling- The sloped acoustical ceiling grid is to remain in the main classroom. The ceiling grid is to be extended in the area where the walls are being removed. New ceiling tiles are to be furnished and installed for the full ceiling area. Ceiling tiles are to be Armstrong #770 2x2 S/E Cortega. The full tiles that are removed need to be stacked in the hallway. 4. Flooring- Patch in the VCT as needed in the areas where the walls are removed and where damaged in the classroom. Also includes the preparation and VCT flooring where the existing tank cap was removed. Stripping and waxing of the floor are not included in this contract. It will be performed by others. 5. Painting- Furnish materials and labor to paint all four walls with a single color of paint. Also includes painting of door frames, but not the doors. 6. Fire Protection- Furnish materials and labor to relocate sprinkler heads in the new ceiling. 7. Electrical- Furnish materials and labor to install (8) 2x4 parabolic lights similar to the existing into the new ceiling grid. New lights are to be circulated on a reused switch existing near the interior door.
